Shop at our Store, Bright Beginnings! Buy at discounted prices where 100% of the profits will provide funding for Equity Matters programs.
Add items to donate to our “Start off with Equity” program or donate gift cards to a young mom in the program so they can choose some new outfits for their baby.
- Donate Handmade baby items -Booties, Bonnets and Blankets are always cherished
- Donate new baby clothing and/or accessories.
- Donate children’s books for up to age five. Cloth books for infants are particularly needed.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are a ton of ways to contribute yourself and your time to helping!
Mentors
Become a mentor for an individual in our "Start off with Equity" program. Both short-term and long-term mentors are needed.
Vocational Mentor
Work one-on-one or with a very small group assisting individuals develop work skills in our store
Childcare Assistants
We do not want anyone to miss programming due to lack of childcare. This need would be for our classes, generally from 5:30 PM-8:00PM on Tuesdays.
Fundraising
Fundraising-Would you like to sponsor a clothing or baby accessory drive at your workplace or place of worship?
Program Assistants
Do you have a valuable skill or area of expertise you would be willing to share with young mothers?
Store Assistance
We have opportunities to create your own unique shower boxes, or help sort, price and inventory large amounts of clothing/accessories.
Administration
Clerical and basic bookkeeping skills are always welcome.
Photography
We would love help photographing merchandise for our store and our special events. Other opportunities include mother/child photo shoots and more.
